How to make a fiery-umbrella-thing (light painting

OKAY
So others ave done this before but this is how we did it for under 20$ (plus a camera)
- a whisk (metal)
- lots of steel wool (the finer the better)
- camera with a 30 sec+ exposure time
- lighter
- rope about 1-2metres long
- strong arms for swinging
- deodorant can/ flammable liquid (optional)
- gloves (optional)
- fire extinguisher (just in case)
1. floof steel wool so that it feels fluffy
2. stuff the wool into the head of the whisk, make sure its secure. The more the better
3. attach rope to the whisk, make sure its a strong knot (I used bowline)
4. wrap the around dominant hand, making it about 1 metre or less between your hand and the whisk
5. light the whisk with lighter, using a little flammable liquid if necessary
(we used deoderant as a flamethrower and we doused it in flames for approx. 5 secs)
6. once lit IMMEDIATELY start swinging the whisk on the rope in circles. This is when you start the picture
7. Once you swing it hard enough sparks and flames will start flying off the whisk
8. this will last about 30 seconds depending how much wool you put in
9. gloves are a good idea if you don't want rope burn
